A bit of an eclectic dabbler.  As far as composing goes, I started off most interested in classical styles (see 'Waltz in A' here), though I still haven't - yet - finished my first symphony . . . like most people, had thoughts of being a pop star, and dabbled on the fringes of jazz (mostly by getting much better musicians to play my tunes - see here).

Around 2009, having worked with friends in fringe theatre and cabaret, an interest developed in comedy writing, which led to a series of cabaret shows (clips here, and forthcoming dates here), both solo and with various lovely guests.  The cabaret is never undiluted comedy, and I've always written serious songs.

During lockdown, especially, I revisited my first love: classical(-ish) piano writing - some of it suitable for near-beginners, some really rather hard.

Future plans include more piano (and violin and other instrumental) music, and more songs.  Lots more recording to do too.
